When Lambuth lost to Westminster on Wednesday night in the opening round of the NAIA tournament, many Lambuth fans thought more than a season and a championship dream ended. They thought that it was the final time the Lady Eagles would play in the tournament at Oman Arena. Lambuth athletic director Ken Brown said that is not the case.

With a looming deadline for adoption of a fiscal 2010 budget, members of the North Middlesex Regional School Committee spent the evening last Monday night wrestling with the minutiae of spending considerations trying to find enough in savings to cover a $2.25 million shortfall.  

The New England Red Sox, based out of Central Mass., emerged as champions from the recent Baseball International Over-30 Wood Bat Tournament, held at the Port Charlotte Sports Complex, spring training site of the Tampa Bay Rays. The Sox clinched the title by defeating the Stallions, 6-1, in the championship game of the 12-team tournament. The victory avenged a defeat at the hands of the Stallions in the previous year's tournament. The Sox got the tournament started in dramatic fashion, winning on a 15

The nonprofit Sonoma Patient Group, a medical marijuana dispensary based in Santa Rosa, is searching for a dispensary location in Sonoma Valley. The group will host an informational meeting about their plans on Sunday, March 14, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Sonoma Community Center in room 200. The group includes business partner, breast cancer survivor and Sonoma resident Jewel Mathieson, wife of City Councilmember Ken Brown.
